Under the direction of Sofi Helleday, I portrayed Mattie Fae Aiken in Calle Flygare Teaterskola’s final-year production of En familj – August: Osage County. This Swedish interpretation of Tracy Letts’ Pulitzer Prize-winning play examined the Weston family’s explosive dynamics through biting humour and emotional truth.

My portrayal of Mattie Fae explored the character’s blend of sharp wit, denial, and buried vulnerability, contributing to a nuanced depiction of generational conflict and familial loyalty. This role strengthened my work with large ensemble timing, emotionally charged dialogue, and physical character transformation.
